PKNG_MYCTU Phosphorylates GarA. May play a role in metabolic regulation via control of the phosphorylation status of GarA. Plays a crucial role in the survival of mycobacteria within host macrophages, by blocking the intracellular degradation of mycobacteria in lysosomes.
